About Darryle Steinberg

Darryle Steinberg is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse-Midwife who brings depth and compassion to her work. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that mental health is inseparable from physical health, lived experience, relationships, and social context. She honors the whole person—recognizing both vulnerability and resilience.

Darryle specializes in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood changes that can arise throughout different stages of life. She has extensive experience helping individuals manage the emotional and cognitive challenges that often accompany life transitions—including changes in work or school, relationship shifts, parenting, caregiving, and other evolving responsibilities. For women, this also includes support through the unique emotional and hormonal experiences associated with pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and cyclical mood changes such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and the more severe form known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). She understands that these seasons and patterns can often feel overwhelming, and believes that seeking support during such vulnerable times is a courageous and meaningful step toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional well-being.

In her private practice, which she conducts primarily via telehealth, Darryle works with adults seeking thoughtful, integrative mental health support. She is known for creating a steady, respectful space where patients feel deeply heard and understood. Her approach blends clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity, and genuine presence. Darryle utilizes a holistic and collaborative approach to care. Her work includes thoughtful medication prescribing and management, always informed by a thorough assessment of an individual’s physical, emotional, and mental health. She partners closely with each patient (and their care team as needed) to define clear treatment goals and encourages active participation in the healing process to support sustained emotional wellness.

Darryle provides individualized care, offering 90-minute initial evaluations and 30-45 minute follow-up visits. Together with her patients, she develops a comprehensive plan that may include medication, lifestyle adjustments, and supportive strategies tailored to the person’s unique needs. Compassionate listening and mutual respect are central to her work, and she strives to create a space where individuals feel deeply heard, safe, and empowered.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from the Yale University School of Nursing, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical excellence and patient-centered care. She later completed a Certificate of Graduate Studies at Northeastern University, expanding her advanced training with a specialization in psychiatric mental health.

Darryle’s advanced practice nursing background has informed and shaped every aspect of her work with patients, honoring each person’s lived experience and inner resilience. She looks forward to partnering with you in a collaborative and respectful way — supporting meaningful reflection, renewed confidence, and lasting emotional well-being.
